Surprised? It's the Thimble that Board of Londoners most often opt for, with a third plumping for the sewing accessory. How is it that such an unsexy object would top a list that includes race cars and battleships? I suppose it has mystique - it's not exactly a familiar utensil for those who have grown up in the day and age with sweatshops and 3D printing. It may be that people don't even associate the thimble with sewing - it could be a finger glove or a primitive prototype for Professor Farnsworth's fing-longer!
As for the rest? Scottie dogs and top hats share the second place spoils, with wheelbarrows and race cars tying for 4th. And what about the battleship? It's so conventionally cool, and yet it was overlooked. Some might that voters sunk the battleship... take it away, Jasper!
